A. Stucki Co. has tapped (Koray) Mert Yilmaz as President of Engineered Products for railroad rolling stock, serving the leasing, manufacturing, railroad and shipper markets.
With more than 20 years of manufacturing management experience, Yilmaz served most recently as President of USA and Mexico operations for Hong Kong-based Impro Industries, and has worked for German automotive supplier Robert Bosch. He holds degrees in mechanical, metallurgical and materials engineering from Middle East Technical University.
Yilmaz will now lead the business units that design and manufacture engineered products at Stucki, which also provides reconditioning and repair services, locomotive fueling and support, and maintenance-of-way services from operating centers in the United States, Mexico and Brazil. He is based in Lemont, Ill.
“Our Engineered Products team is focused on delivering innovative solutions to serve our customers,” said John O’Bryan, CEO of Stucki, which has headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pa., and was acquired in 2022 by private-equity firm Stellex Capital Management LLC. “Mert’s extensive background in manufacturing and leading high-performing teams will accelerate our efforts to drive growth, productivity and service excellence across the Engineered Products division.”
“Stucki is an established industry leader that continues to experience impressive growth in its major market segments,” Yilmaz said. “I am excited to lead the Engineered Products division as we help steer the company toward an even more productive and profitable future.”
In other Stucki news, this fall Rick Clary took on the position of Vice President of Human Resources and Jason Lhota became the General Manager for subsidiary American Industries, which supplies new and reconditioned railcar components and systems from its Sharon, Pa., and Jerseyville, Ill., facilities.
