Our company is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual for a Cost Accounting Analyst role.  The core function of this role is to ensure the accuracy of inventory data as it pertains to cost and profitability by tapping into various information resources.  A successful candidate must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with advanced knowledge in Microsoft excel and other office applications.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Monitors all production and product costing, reviews significant variances, advises, and implements necessary corrective actions.
  • Support the Commercial team in product costing/gross margin analysis, customer profitability, pricing analysis, and ROI analysis for new revenue generating opportunities.
  • Develop financial return models to support commercial and finance team on profitability improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain consistent guiding principles for cost accounting across all Stucki entities, including cost type definitions (variable/fixed; direct/indirect), indirect cost allocation methodologies.
  • Assist departments across the company who use cost data and related reporting tools to ensure adequate understanding of the data and proper usage.
  • Review and adjust material, overhead and labor costs for manufactured and reconditioned products.
  • Finance liaison with Engineering on new product development, develop financial model, test product cost assumptions, and ensure accurate costing in SAP post product launch.
  • Update and maintain standard costs, at least quarterly, with the goal of monthly, in SAP for manufactured and finished products.
  • Work with operations team to ensure machine time standards are accurate.
  • Maintenance of routings and bill of materials to ensure system consumes the proper ingredients produced on-site.
  • Review and analyze daily inventory adjustments and changes.
  • Preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial reports for local and corporate management.
  • Assist with monthly and annual financial close process in costing analysis, variance explanation, and analytical support.  Support accounting team with interim and year end audit requests.

Skills/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in general accounting (financial statement and/or general ledger accounting preferred).
  • 1 – 2 years of SAP experience is required.
  • Manufacturing industry experience is required.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Schedule Opportunity:

  • Hybrid Work Schedule (Work from home Monday and Friday. In the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.)
