Celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary
As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, we recognize the visionaries, innovators, and hardworking people whose ideas helped build our nation.
From the railroads that connected communities to the manufacturers that powered industry, America’s growth has always depended on people who were willing to solve problems, create new ideas, and build something that would last.
The railroad industry has been at the heart of that story.
For more than 150 years, rail has helped move the raw materials, products, and resources that fuel our economy and connect businesses and communities across North America. It has been one of the great engines of American growth.
More than a century ago, one engineer saw an opportunity to make that industry better.
After immigrating to the United States from Switzerland, ARNOLD STUCKI spent years working in the rail industry before founding The A. Stucki Company in 1911. His innovations including the roller side bearing, helped improve railcar safety, stability, and reliability, changing the industry for generations.
That spirit of innovation became the foundation of our company.
Today, A. Stucki continues to play an important role in one of America’s most essential industries.
While our company has grown well beyond its original products, our mission remains the same: helping customers move freight safely, reliably, and efficiently. Our teams engineer, manufacture, remanufacture, and service critical rail components that keep railcars operating across North America and around the world. Every day, our work supports the movement of the goods people rely on from food and energy to automobiles, building materials, and countless other products.
Just as America’s success has always depended on innovation and the people behind it, A. Stucki’s success depends on each of us.
Whether you work in Stucki, your work helps customers succeed and strengthens an industry that keeps the economy moving.
As we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, we can all take pride in being part of a company whose history is intertwined with the history of American rail.
We honor the vision that started A. Stucki more than 110 years ago, but we’re even more excited about the future we’re building together. Every innovation, every shipment, every customer served, and every improvement we make continues a legacy of helping keep America—and the world—on track.
