Employees at Birmingham Rail’s shop in Bessemer, Ala., got a “high five” recently after they reached a significant safety milestone.
DWAYNE GOULSBY, production manager, treated his team to lunch of catfish and whiting, baked beans and mac and cheese in recognition of five years without a recordable incident.
“Our team is truly focused on safety and watching out for one another on the job,” said Dwayne.
The Bessemer plant supplies new and relay rail as well as switch material and turnouts to the railroad and industrial communities.
“We have great people in Bessemer who work hard every day to meet our production goals while keeping one another safe,” said ERIC CARTER, vice president and general manager.
“We’re proud of their accomplishments and their attention to detail.”
Founded in 1899, Birmingham Rail was acquired by Stucki 2019.
The celebration featured a catfish lunch that included whiting, mac and cheese, baked beans and fries.
